Gravity Forms are designed to inherit the style of your theme so they blend in, not stand out. If you would like to give your form a different style, you will need to do that with CSS added to your theme's stylesheet. There are no built in formats or themes which can be selected, however, you have complete control over it all. You will need to know some CSS to style the forms.

So if I am reading this right, there is no easy solution for a non developer or designer to easily select a format to design a form?

We have all of our information about styling Gravity Forms right here:
http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Design_and_Layout

It can be a bit overwhelming though if you don't have at least a beginner -> intermediate level understanding of CSS classes and about the same level of knowledge regarding WordPress theme language.

And, if I don't use dreamweaver, how do I get access to the CSS code in gravity forms to manipulate it? I'm sorry- not understanding this critical first step in styling the form.

There currently isn't any way to style a form using a WYSIWYG interface. Though, if I were to try, I would create a form in Dreamweaver, style it, and turn off Gravity Forms' CSS output and try using the style I created. You might have to change the classes to match the output of Gravity Forms, but otherwise it should work...

Hi, I'm a newbie to gravity forms. I'm working on a wordpress site locally and trying to figure out how to style my form. The default that I have is ugly and the spacing is so large that the form is a foot long in my sidebar. I desperately need to restyle this form and I'd like to be able to do that visually (wysiwyg) i.e. Dreamweaver. Can I do this? Where do I get the code?

Thanks so much,
sheki
