Carl, I am also interested in support for custom taxonomies. As the site owner, I aim to offer a pre-defined list of custom taxonomies which registered users would be able to select from a list. Since they will have the option of making multiple selections in each of the taxonomy groups, I think a series of check boxes would be the best ui.

Great. I think you will find this feature will sell a lot of Gravity Forms! There is an increasing interest in WP's taxonomies and custom posts, since this really moves WP into a real CMS tool. Taxonomies are much better than custom fields frankly. The problem is that an equal number of people using Wordpress are getting frustrated by the lack of plugins and tools to enable the posting of data via a front end that does NOT involve accessing the admin areas. Hope u can release this soon!

You are correct, right now the Post Tag field which acts as taxonomy is only a text input that takes a comma separated list of tags. But you raise a good point regarding the ability to use radio buttons, check boxes and drop downs to predefine the selections. We will add this to our feature idea list and incorporate this into a future release.

Sorry - wasn't clear. I am using taxonomies, and not custom fields. While 'countries' etc could be custom fields, I also have things like 'deal types' (my business is about business opportunity networking) - 'deal types' such as 'Sale of Business', 'Joint Venture' etc. I have also created a custom post type called 'Deals' which contain these taxonomy choices in the post UI. I prefer the new taxonomies rather than custom fields since the cross-relationships work better for me.
What I am looking for is the ability for registered users to sumbit 'deals' where the form on the front-end mirrors the taxonomy choices. I believe this is OK with Gravity Forms if using custom fields or categories, but from the screen capture demo on your site, there does not seem to be an ability to choose a taxonomy when creating a form. Hope that is clear. Many thanks.

You mention "Price", "State", "Country", etc. are custom fields but then you say they are taxonomies? Can you clarify? There is a difference between custom fields and taxonomies.

Hi - am interested in creating a front-end method for users to create posts.I have several Custom Posts with custom field areas e.g. submit price, state country etc. Each one of these is based on taxonomies and terms I have created, and not 'categories'. Is there a way for me to 'replicate' these custom posts at the front end (without having access to WP Admin) so that new users can submit data via a Gravity form? It seems at the moment I can only use pre-defined categories. Also, would these Gravity generated posts be part of the same database tables as my other posts? I would need any post submissions to be moderated. Thanks for any tips.
