When you say 'imported form with lots of data', what do you mean? When you import, you get the form only, not the entries. Or do you mean, you just have a very large form?

And what happens to you? Does the import work, and then something else does not work?

Not to highjack the thread, but I am having a similar issue with a form. Imported form with lots of data, checked WP Memory (128mb) and tried reimporting the form. Currently running Gravity Forms 1.6.11 and WP 3.5 (latest).

If you are having trouble saving a form with a lot of fields in it, chance are you are running out of memory for your PHP/WordPress process.

Please see how much RAM you have available to both WordPress and PHP and see this article for getting more RAM http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit/
