If you are using thirds, and only showing one of the thirds based on a condition, it's possible that the columns won't line up, because the left or center thirds are not showing. It could also be affected by the length of your lists and how the thirds are clearing the preview form fields. If so, then it is likely a conflict with the styles in your theme.
