Gravity Forms does not currently edit existing posts out of the box. So it's not going to do what you described. However, anything is possible through the use of customizations and our extensive library of API hooks and filters. So it could be accomplished as a customization if you know PHP and are familiar with WordPress customization through hooks and filters.

Before purchasing, I would like to know if gravity forms has the ability to update a specific custom field already in a custom post type. For example: Client 1 makes a post and client 2 completes a form within the published post which updates the value of a custom field when client 2 presses submit.

Also, would the form then be able to send an automated email to Client 1 letting them know that Client 2 had made the update?

Could the form send multiple automated emails?
