The same problem here. I had the choice between the personal- (~32$ with a coupon) and developer version (~150$ with a coupon). I decided to check the personal version first to see if the things work which I like to do and upgrade later to the developer version since it supports paypal.

Now I read that I won't be able to enter a coupon to the upgrade. Maybe you should add that to the "Q & A" where it says how 'easy' it is to upgrade. Maybe easy but disadvantageous for the buyer.

Just an FYI Carl... Paypal does support discount codes. I was logged in earlier & just double checked. I was attempting to use the discount code GFDEV50. You put the code in where it says, "PayPal gift card, certificate, reward, or other discount 'Redeem' View PayPal policies and your payment method rights" -- but it doesn't work. I assume it works if you're buying the product brand new.

The discount that Paypal accounts for isn't really a discount. It's a straight upgrade with no price reduction. Just 10-15% would be nice. I'd like to think my coming back to upgrade is valuable enough to reward my choice to buy again.

Thanks,
Ramon

Upgrades are done directly with PayPal which does not support coupon codes. So coupon codes cannot be applied towards an upgrade. The upgrade price is discounted based on the value of the license you currently own.

Hi. I purchased the Business Version back in June of this year ($99). I'm ready for the Developer Option, but... if I'm understanding you correctly... I have to pay full price and do not get the benefit of any discount. Paypal is telling me $100.00 when I attempt to upgrade.

Do I have any other option here?

Thanks,

Yep, coupon codes aren't applied for the upgrades. A discount is already factored in as carl mentioned above.

I found some coupon codes right away and was considering getting the developer package. I figured I should play with it first and test things such as the Salesforce integration so I got a personal license.

Now that I'm ready to commit to the developer package you're saying I can't use my coupon codes since upgrading in PayPal doesn't allow it. Is that correct?

Upgrades happen directly via PayPal, there is no coupon code option. However, if you upgrade from a Personal License to a Developer License we do give you a $50 discount rather than a $39 discount. Coupon codes are only for new purchases via the shopping cart system and do not work for upgrades or renewals.

You don't need a coupon code. There are discounts already built in to the automated upgrade process.

When you upgrade, you receive a discount based on the value of your existing license. So you would receive $39 off the Business License (even if you purchased with a coupon code initially). We increase the discount for the Developer License to $50 so you'd receive $50 off the Developer License if you upgrade to it.

Great great plugin!!

I bought a single license to do some preliminary testing and paid $31.20 for a single user license. I would now like to buy the developer license which is on offer for $50 off.

Is there anyway I can take full advantage of this great deal since when I try to buy it from my control panel there is no option for a coupon?

Would be grateful for your help.

Thanks,
