Is it possible to take a the content from a field on the current form (it was on a page before), and place this dynamically into the form?

Here is what I'm doing, it may make what I'm asking actually make sense :)

This is a form for people to add film festival information. On one page of the form, they are asked to give up to six category names, such as 'Shorts'. They are adding this to a 'custom field' field. On the next page, there are sections for them to fill out for each of the categories, so it would be good if, using the example I gave, instead of having 'Category 1', I could use the category they gave, 'Shorts'.
