WordPress works on a role based level and in the future it is actually moving away from user specific capabilities in favor or only role based access control. We might create an add-on that provides this type of functionality in the future, but currently it isn't possible. </p> https://legacy.forums.gravityhelp.com/topic/user-access-of-forms-for-editing#post-5737 Tue, 25 May 2010 00:35:34 +0000 soapnote 5737@https://legacy.forums.gravityhelp.com/ <p>I'd like to have users access my site to make forms for sharing, but I'm having trouble with permissions.</p> <p>In the Members plugin which is suggested by Gravity Forms, there is a role for editing forms and for creating forms.</p> <p>Unfortunately, I really don't want someone to be able to edit any forms other than their own forms. </p> <p>This would be similar to the permissions that my users have for posts. A user is able to create posts. They can view and edit the posts they've created. They cannot edit anyone else's posts, but they can view them.</p> <p>But, if I give the user permission to edit and create forms then they have the ability to edit other people's forms. And if I just give them permission to create forms, they lose the ability to see their own or other forms and go back and edit their own forms.</p> <p>Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.</p> <p>Thanks,<br /> Mark </p>
