Yes, forum posts are replied to. It just appears yours slipped through the cracks. I apologize.

I am not able to reproduce this issue. Donations are not the same thing as Products. You need to check to see if the Donation does exist in the entry details, it just isn't displayed with the Products. Donations are currently treated as separate items. This was done because of how PayPal handles Donations, they aren't the same as Products.

See this screenshot, you will see the Donation does appear in the Entry Detail, it just isn't listed with the product selections:

http://grab.by/8OQK

This is probably what is happening in your case.

We can look at how to better handle Donations so that they are included as line items with orders.

But with the PayPal Add-On a transaction can only be a Product/Server, Donation or Recurring Payment. So you can't mix Products and Donations when using the PayPal Add-On from a technical standpoint.

The Donation field in Gravity Forms was specifically designed for use with the PayPal Add-On because it's a PayPal specific field type.

We can look into providing User Defined Price functionality for the Product field as an option that way it can be used similar to the Donation field but without the limitations of the Donation field.

Hi There,

I am creating a member registration form that has one drop down price field for the annual membership dues and another User Defined Price field for the registrant to put in a contribution amount. The total reflects that sum of the two fields but in the entries there is no data for the User Defined Price field. I would really like that contribution amount to show up in the entries and the notifications.

Thanks,

Carolyn
