Actually, it turns out it was the subject line of the email which must have been determined as spammy by gmail. I changed it to 'thanks for getting in touch' and they started coming through. thanks for your help, i can live with the other issues. :)

There is nothing on the Gravity Forms side that would stop it for working for one or the other. Can you take a screen capture image or post what you are putting in your User notifications? Are they HTML or regular text? Can you create another test form to quickly test to see if it is form specific or for every form?

ok lets focus on #1 as that's the main issue for me. If the wp-mail.php function is working for admin emails, why would it not also just work for user emails?

1. There is little we can do about notifications. We just throw our data at WordPress' built-in wp-mail.php. There is no difference in how we send the admin and user data to WordPress' mailer, and that is the same when SMTP plugins are used.

Without being able to go through our troubleshooting steps, I'm sure you can understand that we can not help sort out the issue because like you mentioned, you have so many plugins and whatnot that it is a mess to go through (it would be for us as well).

2. I am not sure why it would be asking you to log in again, except for a plugin conflict. Caching, security, session management, role management?

3. This would seem like it is an issue with the theme changing form field information, but again, without following through on our troubleshooting steps, there would be little we can do.

Actually, it's more a collection of errors:

1. as admin i'm receiving the email notifications, but as a user I am not. I already have the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin installed. I can't practically work my way through plugins conflicts as i have over 50 plugins, and i don't really want to switch themes to check for a theme conflict as it has a nasty habit of messing with widgets and menus. Any ideas? test form here: http://www.marrakech-riad.co.uk/testing-gravity-forms/

2. trying to click on 'preview form' prompts me to login to my wordpress install, despite being already logged in

3. the whole notifications section is displaying white text on white background for visual view, i'm having to highlight the 'hidden' text to see what is in each box... not ideal (although i can see stuff when in html view). Console in chrome was showing potential issues with the exec php plugin but even having disabled that, it's not resolved this issue.

thanks in advance for any help!
