Hi GF- My company needs to make pretty straightforward forms for return authorizations and would like them to be online. I have two questions but I will post the other one in a different section. About the user registration section, we would like to have users be able to log in and their main contact information to be already populated in the form. For ex. When John Smith logs in and begins filling out his return form, his name, email, phone, company name and address will have already been filled in because it recognizes him as a user. Is this possible with this add on?
Thanks!

I was finally able to setup User registrations with paid access, but the only thing now is finding a way to limit the subscription term.

Any Ideas?

thanks

Hello,
I just purchased GF, and need a form that allows users to register for paid access to a subscriber only area on the site. I purchased GF becuase I was told this could be done, but now im starting to wonder,,, can it, or can it not be done, and if so why are additional add-ons needed?

I wouldn't have the need for a user account to expire, but would have the need for their posts to expire after 12 months, especially since we plan to charge per post, not per view.

This would automatically fire off an email inviting them to renew their post for a further 12 months.

They would login to their user account profile and see a list of their posts with a Paypal button for them to renew.

Is this possible with GF currently? Doable via customisations? Or, better for us to wait for Gravity Charge?

@evinsmj Currently, no. You'd have to use a more complex membership type plugin in order to do something like this. Gravity Forms isn't designed to replace membership plugins, it's designed to be used in situations where a membership plugin may be overkill and something simpler is needed.

@Carl - Thanks for your response. Is there a way to set a user account to expire after a period of time, rather than just from them voluntarily canceling their account?

Thanks!

@evinsmj Using the PayPal Add-On and the User Registration Add-On you can configure it so that the users role is changed if they cancel their PayPal subscription. You can change their role to a role that doesn't have access to content.

@Kalanit - I just came across this thread because I am looking to do something similar to your scenario. Were you able to find a way to do membership expirations, either manually or automated?

Thanks!
