That is the only time the user is assigned the Administrator role by default. If your settings have the option to create a site in multi-site turned on, the user is automatically added as an Administrator for the new site that is created. For the parent site it uses the Role drop down. I want users to sign up as subscribers so that is what I set in the User registration form settings. But they default to administrator. So I'm forced to change them to subscriber manually. Any Ideas on what could be causing this odd behaviour? </p>
