They have to be reading it on your web site. For one, unless they actually filled out a form then Gravity Forms wouldn't even know how to email them because it wouldn't know their email address. So I can say with complete certainty that Gravity Forms is not randomly sending out emails.

Thanks Carl.

When I removed the form, I actually put language on the site: "Thank you for your interest, the career event is now closed"

One of the responedents actually read this to me verbatim. I asked him if he read it on my web page (which is where it's located) He then insisted that it was an email. Honestly it seem like they're reading the site. Note sure why they'd would insist that it was an email...

Sounds like something else is going on. Gravity Forms only triggers the notification emails when a form is submitted, it's not triggered any other time so it can't be Gravity Forms that is sending the email they are receiving.

What you described sounds like the email they received is not the "thank you" notification that you setup as you said it didn't mention rejection or acceptance but what they received mentioned rejection. Gravity Forms isn't sending emails so you may want to look at what other plugins you have setup that could be doing this.

You should request a copy of the email they received and see if it is something you wrote in another plugin or service that could have sent the email.

Hello All,

My question is: How can people get a response from my form, If I have already removed it? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Back story: I created a form for a career fair about two months ago. I recently removed the form from its WordPress page. Before i sent out rejection letters or invites, several users claimed to receive a negative reply from the site.

The only auto response that I set up was a "thank you" confirmation, which the user received upon completion of the form.

Although it said nothing about rejection or acceptance, I removed the option when I took down the form. Despite this, I've gotten about 10 calls from people saying that they have gotten rejected.
