Yes, you can customize the post after it has been created in the WP admin. The entry maintains a link to the created post; however, it is not integrated with it.

Great!

For step 3, as long as the form generates a regular post and I have access to all the features I do when I create a regular post, then at the minimum I can manually do this.

If there is something I want that isn't possible, can I customize it myself (like making it link up to the mapping plugin)?

1. Yes. One or more images can be uploaded and they are added to the media gallery of that post. You only have to place the image in the post.
2. Yes, the post will be placed in concept for review. In the formeditor you can choose a category to which the post will be added. Also you can choose or create custom fields in the formeditor. Tags I am not sure about.
3. Depends on your event plugin and or mapping plugin I guess. (I will be testing Events Calendar (Pro) for that.
4. I think you can handle that ;-)
5. The id and classes Gravity Forms produces can be used to style the post (so CSS). If you take the time to read the documentation you can style it to your liking.

Using Gravity Forms on several sites. Also in a way you describe with the exeption of point 3 which I am testing right now.

Is this possible:

1. Form asks the user specific information broken down into different fields using drop down menus, radio buttons, text field, numeric field. User can also attach an image.
2. The form would create a post that I could review before publishing. The data from the user would automatically populate matching custom fields in the post template, check of categories, add tags.
3. I would then add event information with my event plugin features or perhaps map the location associated with the post using my mapping plugin features.
4. I would publish the post
5. If the above is possible, how would I control the appearance of the post? Is that possible with gravity forms or must I do it through the theme/template?

Thanks!
