You would do something like that through JavaScript and CSS or PHP rather than Gravity Forms itself. Look at some tutorials people have put up related to detecting browser types.

Can you display alternate content in place of the form for someone viewing a page with a device running iOS?

iOS doesn't have a file browser (like Finder or Windows Explorer). So you can't even navigate to a file to select. You'd have to do it through an app.

I haven't had a chance to test it yet, and no one has made mention as of yet. It could be as restrictive elsewhere. I just don't know currently.

Ahh, so it is OS prohibitive. Did not know the limitation. Do you know if this is true among the other tablet / smartphone companies?

Thanks for the feedback!

If you do a search on the forums, you'll notice that many people run into this issue, and it isn't something we can easily fix as it is a mobile browser issue.

From one of the developers:

iOS does not allow you to upload files via it's browser. So mobile file uploads on web sites using the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad is not possible. This is why you can only upload files (pictures, etc.) using native apps such as the Facebook App, etc. Safari simply doesn't let you do file uploads on the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

I am able to get the File Upload feature to work with my site when using a computer. However, when testing the feature out using either a mobile device (Iphone or android) or tablet (Ipad) the browse button is greyed out and not enabled. Can I get some suggestions or tips?

Go to http://www.scmusicguide.com, then click on the bold link to send files. You may also go directly to the form of http://www.music.submit.scmusicguide.com.
