We are planning on implementing the content template capabilities on the Post Custom Field. So this is something that will be coming, most likely in the 1.5 release.

Wish I had a fair competence with PHP, but alas...thanks for your response though.

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately this functionality is only available for the post body and post title fields. It is possible to accomplish this for custom fields using Gravity Forms' custom hooks; however, this would require a fair competence with PHP.

I have a form for people to create posts. That form includes some custom fields and also a body field. I really like the "create content template" feature and was wondering if I could somehow use the variables from that section in the custom field. Specifically, each poster will upload an image and that image will be embedded in the post (via a variable in the "create content template" field) and would like that same image to be the value for a custom field. Is that possible? Thanks.
