Thanks for the update. I'm afraid you caught us on the weekend before we could respond. Glad you were able to make that information part of your form submission.

I'm just coming back to this in case anyone comes across it in a search. I've found the perfect way to get the form to work, by using checkboxes for the information I wish clients to agree to. This brings it into the notification and the entry.

Unfortunately, in order to find this I had given up and purchased another set of forms elsewhere, and was pointed to this solution by them, after wasting nearly two days on this.

I appreciate your help Chris, but I guess I was just a complete newbie at this and really had no idea the solution was so simple and could have easily been explained to me last week! I hope this helps someone else in the same boat!

Thanks Chris, I'm playing around without much success. Can you suggest for me the fields I might be able to use, to put chunks of text in, so they show up on the notification?

The HTML you add to the form is for presentation, not part of the entry. You may have to rethink how you present that to make those terms and conditions part of the form submission.

I've searched some more and managed to get the empty fields to also show in the admin notification, but I want the actual text of my contract to show up too. So it's not just the fields the clients didn't complete, but the html terms and conditions they are agreeing to. Is this possible?

Thanks Chris,

I can't get the {all_fields:empty} tag to put in anything other than exactly that in the body of the email. The {all_fields} tag is putting in the entered detail, but I can't see my own instructions to the client.

Basically, what I want is a page to print out, that has the logo on it, the text fields, pretty much everything that is on the form, nicely presented, so that I can get them to sign it. They would receive it via email, have a chance to read the terms and conditions, initial and return it to me, but their signature would be placed on it in studio. I'm not sure that this would be possible, even if I were able to get the tag to work...it doesn't seem what I'm looking for???

In your form settings, for the admin notification, you should have at least this as the content of the notification:

[html]
{all_fields}

Screenshot of the default admin notification:
http://min.us/mOJv71mkt

That will ensure that a nicely formatted notification arrives to the administrator email, and it will contain all the fields that were submitted. However, if you want empty fields as well, which I think you do, you will want to change that merge tag to this:

[html]
{all_fields:empty}

That will send everything, even empty fields. Let us know if that does not work for you.

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply, but I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean? The only notification I receive is a blank email saying " x form received", I then go to wp admin to view the entry.

Can you elaborate please?

Can you use the admin notification email for this, instead of the entry in the wp-admin?

I'm frustrated by only being able to read the recipient's entered data in the entries. Is there a way for me to preview (and print) the entered data, complete with my original headings and text?

I basically want to be able to print out the entire form, after the client has completed it.

To clarify, I use the forms to send contract data to clients. Depending on their job, this is slightly different for each client. I find that months later, when I want to go back and view the specifics of their agreement, it tells me nothing to just see their entered info. I'd love to be able to print the entire form out when it's returned, with my questions, and their responses.

Thanks :)
