@macky Yes, when they checkout with PayPal they can choose to use a PayPal account or checkout as a guest using their credit card. That is a feature of PayPal itself.

Using the paypal plugin, can the buyer make the purchase using a credit card without opening a paypal account?

paypal pro integration would be really good. I know of a few clients that would buy the dev license if that were to happen.

Lots of interest in this as well. You've got a great plugin and this would take it to the next level.

The current add-on doesn't support PayPal Pro so you'd have to write your own customization to do so. We do plan on creating a PayPal Pro Add-On in the future (along with other payment add-ons), however that will require adding additional fields to Gravity Forms to handle credit card input, so it is more than just creating the Add-On itself.

What would it take to use PayPal Pro? We'd prefer to leave our customers on our own site rather than sending them away to PayPal.

They provide a different shopping cart display for Products and Donations. I don't know if the transactions themselves are different other than the Donation is reflected as a Donation in the UI. Reporting wise I don't know how they are different.

Here is some information I found:

http://www.ehow.com/about_6233232_difference-between-donate-buy-paypal.html

Doesn't appear as if there is any real difference other than how they are displayed.

The Donation field is only passed to PayPal if the transaction is a Donation transaction.

So you would want to use all Product fields instead.
