How it works is the following:</p> <p>Gravity Forms uses WordPress' wp-mail.php file to send an e-mail using PHP<br /> Your server picks up and sends that e-mail on.<br /> It bounces around, goes through filters before being received.</p> <p>The only part of that we control is writing the e-mail to the wp-mail.php file and that happens instantly.
