1. Yes, with the User Registration add-on (requires a developer license.)

2. Not handled by Gravity Forms. Gravity Forms is a data collection tool, not a replacement for the login functions which are built in to WordPress. However, there are solutions for automatically logging in the user after they register.

3. Gravity Forms will collect the data, whatever data you want to collect. That data can be added to the profile. Here are a couple links describing how to add the information to the user profile.

http://justintadlock.com/archives/2009/09/10/adding-and-using-custom-user-profile-fields
http://chriscarter.org/removing-and-adding-meta-fields-from-profile/

4. You can upload text, video and images using Gravity Forms. And you can use your forms however you like, even to allow modifications to existing user profiles. There is no such thing as a profile form, per se.

5. I'm not clear on what you mean here. However, it sounds like you want a profile or summary page for a business, as well as a person. In that case, you might want to look at the Directory Add-on which was not created by us. It's available for download here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-addons/

6. This is not built in to Gravity Forms by default. It might be possible with the Directory Add-on. If not, you will need to restrict access to the data which can be edited by a user. It's not a feature of Gravity Forms but can be accomplished with WordPress functions.

What you're looking to do can be accomplished with Gravity Forms and by extending WordPress functionality, but it will require some programming to accomplish it.

I'm trying to build a WP site where each user can:

1. Register through the front end using basic fields
2. Log in
3. Create their own profile page using multiple forms
4. Upload text, image and video data using profile forms
5. Create work related information (portfolios made up of images and video) that are separate from profile forms
6. be able to edit both profile and portfolio related information unique to their own profile only

Can Gravity forms help me achive this?
