I just added a password field to a form and while that field is not available in the merge tag drop down, I was able to manually add it to a user notification by following the format of all the other merge tags. My password field has a title of "Your desired password" and is field 7, so the merge tag looks like this:

{Your desired password:7}

The password then arrived in my user notification. It is not included in the notification when using {all_fields}.

I see that now. Sorry about that. I know when you select a password when registering for a WordPress site, your notification email says "Your selected password" and you only receive the password in the email when it is set by WordPress. Let me ask the developers about this limitation and see if there is a work around.

Thanks Chris, however it seems that I can't include the Password field in the email. All the other fields are there except the password, and it doesn't work with the all fields tag.

You can use the User Notification (notifications tab for your form) to send your customized message. If you have a password field on the form and allow the user to select their own password, you can use the merge tag for this field and include the password in the user notification. These settings are all related to the form.

On the registrations feed, be sure you do NOT check the "Send Email? (?) Send this password to the new user by email." box. That enables the default WordPress email to the newly registered user.

In short, use the feed to send the default WordPress new user registration email and use the user notification of the form to send your customized welcome message.

I'd love an answer to that to. I don't want to send the default Wordpress Email (need content added to Gravity forms email, and it has the wrong link and From Address), and would prefer to include the password in the Gravity Forms User notification.

ok, the email was sent to the new subscriber ok but without the user name and password. How do i add this info to the email?

Also, they still get the original Wordpress notification. How do I stop WordPress sending the notification?
