Vote!

I will try the plugin, but would like it to be part of GF itself.

I vote for this too. In the mean time I'm happy to use whatever plugin will work and I'll test some out, but I would rather it was built in to gravity forms.

yet another vote into the seemingly void, 3 year long oddissey of a wysiwyg editor for gravity forms... guys, cmon, it's not a core functionality change? And you can always push a beta version prior to publishing it? Right? So the problem is not in the complexity and is rather political in terms of "urgency"... why not just help your customer and give your devs a few more urgent points for this feature? and you see... http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-wysiwyg/faq/ - someone already did it - nothing broke. Where is your excuse god now?

Thanks Carl for giving me hope!
As stated earlier in this forum, I am waiting desperately since close to 6 months now for the WYSIWYG editor function in the Text Input field and Post Body.
Hope it does not take too long because my users are getting a little impatient because now they have to use the backend and its editor to complete their text design. And finally, I don't want to have them in the backend - this should be reserved for administrators.
Thanks in advance for letting us know when the release is coming up! Likewise, I can also offer beta testing on my site. http://www.siedelwood.de

I can't get this plugin to install right in two StudioPress themes, Generate and Prose. I read a blog post that some plugins will mess with Gravity forms. i can do the basic forms, but can't find a wysiwyg screen using that plug-in.
I tried it because of this blog post: http://wpmu.org/daily-tip-add-a-wysiwyg-editor-to-gravity-forms-in-wordpress/

I've been testing bradvin's WYSIWYG plugin and things seem to be working well.

Full disclosure: Brad has done some work for us and I would recommend him as well.

hey guys, I created a plugin to add a WYSIWYG field to GF.

check it out and test it out and let me know what you think. It is still very beta-ish but it works

We are always working to extend Gravity Forms. However, in the meantime there is this 3rd Party Add-On that might be of use if you wanted to try it out.

Thanks for your prompt and detailed response, Carl!

To note - We would be happy to be beta-testers for you, in regards to this functionality, if you have it in-progress.

In addition we would love to see an "Edit Post" feature for the posts created by your forms - this was a feature we assumed was included, which is why we purchased this plugin instead of staying with TDOMini-Forms - we were disappointed to see that you can create posts in teh front end, but not edit them - seems the two should go hand-in-hand. We would be glad to beta-test this too, if you have this feature in-progress.

All best!
