Accepting & Storing Credit Card Data

We have a customer that we would love to install Gravity Forms with. They need however to place the form into a secure environment (SSL) - so they can collect and store sensitive credit card info. Does Gravity Forms:

    1) Run in an SSL environment?
    2) Store Credit Card Information?
    3) Have the ability to send a notification to the website owner that a form was submitted - but not send the Credit Card information via email; only store it in WordPress DB - and send a notice to the owner so they can link and login to WP to obtain the credit card and rest of the form info?

Please advise as again we'd love to purchase Gravity Forms if you support this. Thank you!

  2. Gravity Forms can do this, however you would have to setup the WordPress site to use SSL and keep in mind that security is a function of the WordPress install itself so you would need to make sure you take necessary security steps to harden your WordPress install.

hi Carl - thanks for your quick response. That is super!! Yes we add layers of security. I'm hoping the most solid layer -but if you have any plugin suggestions for overall security - I'm all ears ;)

So - to confirm your reply. We can collect the sensitive form data -store it in WordPress - and just email to the client a notification that a new form was submitted?

  4. Correct, the email notifications are customizable so you don't have to output the credit card data in them. You can customize them so the notification email is simply a notification and not the complete form entry.

    Hi Carl:
I am in a similar position, am about to place an order for Gravity Forms for a form that will collect credit card data, and want to be certain before I place the order. I have just installed WP and not yet setup the security.

    1) Do you have any suggestions where I can get good information how to do that so when I install Gravity Forms, what is required is in place?

    2) Does this mean that all pages in the site will be delivered over SSL in order for the form to be delivered over SSL, or is there a way to force SSL only on the form?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have the gravity forms developer licence and I'm using the authorize.net add-on, but regrettably it doesn't support recurring transactions.

How, can I store the credit card info so that I can manually process a second time when necessary?

    Thanks.

  8. This is a pre-purchase forum. Please post your question in the Authorize.net forum and we can address it there. Thank you.
