Automatic Post Composition - Use of Video embed code in Custom Fields

  1. We require the use of video embed code ie. (youtube FLV embed code) to be added to a custom field on automatic post composition for video posts ( we are using WooThemes Canvas), but on submitting the form with the embed code the code does not appear in the custom field for the post created. When tested any normal text appears correctly in the custom field, but when trying to add video embed code the code is automatically removed .

I am assuming only regular text is currently supported when using custom fields in Automatic Post Composition - if so are there any easy work arounds that can be employed to allow the video embed code to be recognized and added to the custom field?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. We will look into this. The custom field may be stripping HTML. We will have to look into either adding an option to allow HTML or don't strip HTML at all.

Have just run into this exact problem.. for now I will use a workaround and have my users copy and paste the text over from another field. But would rather that it filed into the database correctly of course :)

  5. I see a fix for this has been added to the latest beta release - working without problem.

    Excellent support!

  6. Yes, this was fixed in the beta release. It can be accessed on the Download page and will be released via automatic upgrade once it is ready.
