Buddypress, User Roles and Gravity Forms

  1. We are looking to create a unique build using Buddypress, User Roles (Members plugin) and Gravity Forms.

We have two different user types. Let's call them 'teachers' and 'students'. Both of these user roles have different profile field groups through Buddypress. We are looking to create two different registration forms. One for teachers and another for students. These forms will add users within the different roles and communicate the specified profile fields that coincide with those roles.

We would, of course, have to use your "User Registration AddOn" plugin to achieve the communication between the Wordpress/Buddypress user database and Gravity Forms, but can Gravity Forms also define what type or role the user is signing up for? We don't want the user to indicate in a drop down, for example, whether or not they are a 'teacher' or 'student'. We want a link to the custom form that reads something like 'Sign up here if you are a student' and then the form simply assumes that the user is a student, and shows the appropriate custom fields based on that type.

I apologize if this is a bit vague. Questions are welcome to clarify.
