calculate a payment price , and recurring payments, paypal

  1. Hello,

I need to know if GF can do this before I purchase, and what plug-in's i will need to integrate with paypal

I want a order form that helps customer pick:
a product (with pop up for each product description)
a delivery frequency (twice weekly, weekly, bi-weekly etc)
    quantity to be delivered
    select if one-time or recurring

Then based on the above four it will calculate the:
    price per delivery (incorporating taxes)
require user to read and agree to terms of purchase and agree to recurring charges
charge the price for the first order
schedule recurring payments to charge based on the price per delivery.

I currently have paypal standard and have cart66, but the recurring option on the cart is not flexible to accommodate varying quantities and delivery frequencies.

    Please help.

    Thanks

  2. Sounds like you would need a Developer license for Gravity Forms, and the PayPal Standard add-on. There is also a 3rd party add-on which we did not create which helps manage subscriptions more easily. It's available for download here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-subscriptions/

    Specifically:

I want a order form that helps customer pick:

a product (with pop up for each product description)

    No problem

a delivery frequency (twice weekly, weekly, bi-weekly etc)

With the subscription add-on for Gravity Forms, this is possible I believe. Not sure about twice weekly though. You'd have to check the features of that plugin.

    quantity to be delivered

    Yes, this is possible.

    select if one-time or recurring

    Yes, this is possible.

Then based on the above four it will calculate the:

    price per delivery (incorporating taxes)

How will the calculation work? Simple calculations are built in to Gravity Forms. Maybe Cart66 has additional features for figuring taxes and delivery?

require user to read and agree to terms of purchase and agree to recurring charges

    Yes, this is possible.

charge the price for the first order

Yes, with the subscription, the first payment is charged immediately.

schedule recurring payments to charge based on the price per delivery.

Yes, that is how the subscriptions with PayPal work. I'm not sure how you calculate the price, but a charge can be processed on a recurring schedule.
