Capture user details before file download

  1. This is so basic it must be possible but I can't see anything about it on the web site...

All I want to do is create a form that captures basic user data before a user can click a button to download a file.

Is that possible with Gravity Forms?

You can have the link for the download be in the confirmation message. So then upon completion of the form, they'll be able to download the file. All my best! Check out our demos - http://gravityforms.com/demo

  3. David,
Instead of just one PDF, how can we have a 'listing' of multiple PDFs (5 in my case), that the user can select which ones they want (any combination of them), then after they have put in their contact info, they will then be able to download the files they selected.

    Thanks,

You can use our Confirmations and make them conditional based on what a user selects. But it might not be totally helpful, as you'd have to make around 24 of them for all the combinations you are looking at. All of the solutions I can think of would require PHP and I can't discuss coding in the Pre Purchase forum.

  5. David,
We just purchased the "developer" package. Should I start a post in a different area? (didn't notice this was "pre-purchse" when I responded).

I did find something on the Internet—would it work for our application?:

[ I would just need a bit more detail, being a "newbie" ].

If you have a developers license, I suggest using our Priority Support form - http://www.gravityhelp.com/priority-support/
