Cardholder name in form notification?

  1. I have set up one of our web design clients with Gravity Forms + Authorize.net for some class registration they're doing on their website. Everything is working great, except one little detail.

The notification my client receives from Gravity Forms doesn't include the cardholder name from the credit card fields. They do get the last 4 digits of the card number and the type of card (Visa, etc) but no other card information. I've tried creating a custom notification using the cardholder name merge tag and it's still not coming through. The cardholder name can sometimes be different from the name of the person submitting the form (this is why the client wants this).

Any ideas? is this expected behavior? Thanks.

  2. The only info the CC field stores is the last 4 digits of the Card #, as you've stated above. This is intended behavior and is for security reasons. The way to match this up currently would be to match up the Authorize.Net transaction ID to the form entry.

  3. Thanks Rob. I had a hunch this might be the case but I was thrown off because I was able to add the merge tags for the various credit card fields to the notification email. I guess I'd suggest changing that behavior if it's easy/possible.

    Thanks for the quick reply!
