Editing the 'MailChimp' opt in Autoresponder

  1. We use mailchimp with gravity forms and I'd like to edit the information that subscribers receive in the subscription confirmation email. I can't find how to edit this anywhere - neither in gravity forms or in mailchimps forms section.

Basically - I want to direct people to a hidden page on our website but only after they have double opted in and not before.

    Thanks

Mailchimp allows you to create a Thank You E-mail that is sent after they double opt-in. In this e-mail you could link to whatever page you want. At least that's my understanding. Once the data is first sent to Mailchimp, Gravity Forms stays out of the way. If you want to do redirects after the double opt-in process is complete, you want to talk to Mailchimp support.

  3. Thanks for your prompt reply David.

The problem I'm having is that when people sign up to our list via the gravity form they are sent what seem like 'mailchimp' replies but nowhere can I find a place to edit them in my mailchimp account. Before we switched to gravity forms we had our own edited autoresponders in mailchimp. They are still there but I can't get gravity forms to link with them. I can't find the autoresponders anywhere in order to edit them.

Has anyone else mentioned this problem?

Go to your list in mailchimp that they are being fed into, and go to the "forms" section. If you go to "edit forms", you'll see all of the emails that are sent after their signup on your site (there is a dropdown that has the sign up forms, as well as auto welcome emails). We change our "final welcome email" to be pretty and customized and include links to facebook, etc...you can edit these just like any other email in mailchimp.

  5. Thanks creativenicole - turns out I was doing something really stupid - I had connected the wrong list to Gravity Form!
