embed form results?

Is there an easy way to embed form results? I know I can use form post fields to send all form results to a category and then show the category page. Then I could mess around with the template for that and possibly clean up the way the form results got shown on the screen. Was wondering though if there weren't some simpler way to just use a shortcode like when you embed a form, to also use a shortcut to embed the results of a form. In my particular case, I'd kind of like to see the results in a list/spreadsheet sort of format much like they appear on the entries page.

  2. Currently there is not any functions or shortcodes designed to display entry data on the frontend. There is a 3rd party plugin called Gravity Forms Directory Add-On in the WordPress.org repository that lets you show Gravity Forms entry data on the frontend.

Displaying entry data on the frontend is one of the features we plan on tackling in 2011 now that we have the bulk of the form functionality the way we want it.

  3. I'm impressed already! Do you know what this means? lol! I can manage multiple clients form data and send it to a password protected page. One for each client! Then I don't have to fuss with each registering through WP registration Process. Nevermind the security hassle of setting up separate user levels for each one.

Nope, this plug-in add-on keeps it simple! Client only sees what they are supposed to see. Same goes for specific job functions surrounded by processing specific Gravity Form data.

I like it! One extra feature would be to be able to export the front end data via a csv plug-in.

Until then, I'll have to do it by hand when requested or on a schedule. There's another great idea: scheduled csv exports and via email would be awesome! Just dreaming away here, lol.

That plugin seems to sort of work. It seems to insert linefeeds or something that kind of breaks it though (probably because I'm on windows).

See my test here though http://sandbox.s4tp.org/news-links/

When you add a new link it does show it at the bottom.

The weird thing though is that the links don't work, something about KeepThis=true is added to the URL on the link when you click it.

Here is the source from that page:

    [gravityform id=7 name=NewsLinks]

    [directory form=7 page_size=20 search=false approved=false showadminonly=false wpautop=false lightbox=false showcount=false pagelinksshowall=false showrowids=false fulltext=false linkemail=false linkwebsite=true linknewwindow=true nofollowlinks=true icon=true titleshow=false searchtabindex=false tfoot=false thead=false dateformat=false sort=date_created dir=DESC startpage=1 pagelinkstype=plain tablewidth=100% ]

  5. WellsDM: You'll be pleasantly surprised when you do a page refresh right after your submit a site. I did that and it worked on your site! Plus, visitors when they first see the page, all the links work perfectly.

All you have to do is place a message telling submitters to do a page refresh to see the links active. And mention anyone sent to this page will be able to click on the links as they have been able to do. (Better wording of course).

So no issues here, it works.

nice, I see what you mean. It would be cool if I could have a confirmation message that then had a timer and redirected to a page after a few seconds. (something else for the wishlist) thanks again!

  7. Wish no more! Its already here! When you create your form, the first part at the very top of your form when you create it, go under edit, confirmation tab, select redirect, or text, and just type in what you want people to see after they submit.

Or have a completely different look and feel by using the redirect option in the same tab. If you want them to just see the live links they just submitted, set the redirect back to the exact submission page. This will cause a technical refresh in the browser so to speak and you are all done. No one needs to know what happened, because they will be seeing the same page they were on. Except all the links will work as you want it to! Cool hey?

Give it a try, all will go well:)
