Error output and styling

I see the topic "How do we style validation errors?" that looks like it answers my question, but I get a bbPress error when I try to go to it.

Nonetheless, does GF handle alternate styling for errors? Obviously, definitions in the stylesheet takes care of some of that, but I was wondering if you have the option to not output text to the form. For example, simply placing a red X on the form field would suffice for my uses.

  2. All of the error actual styling/formatting is done via CSS at this point. There are options to set the error message text, but not to turn it off completely. You would have to hide the error text via CSS if you didn't want it to display.
