Export Entries to CSV - Custom Field Names?

I am looking at purchasing this software for a client, but want to make sure it can do what they need:

We need to export all the entries to a CSV file (which you can do), but they need all the file names to be exactly what another program is looking for. When we create this form, can we give it the exact field names of "fname" "e-mail" etc. etc. for 40+ fields?

    Thank you for your time,
    Ashton

  2. The header line is not customizable out of the box. You can't specific what to call each field. However, when you export the CSV you can just edit the text file and add your own custom header line at the top that specifies the field names.

Okay, so if I add 40 fields of information, they'll all end up saying something like "text-input21", etc? Will they be remotely close to what the field name is?

  4. By default the headers would be the field label for that field. It wouldn't be something generic like text-input21, etc. It would be whatever label you used for that field (ex. Email for the email field, etc.).

This information is in the first line of the CSV file so if you want to customize it, just open the CSV file in a text editor and change it before importing it into some other application.
