    Some suggestions :)

    1)
One suggestion for the next version (if not too late), have the "Update Form" button float, like the "Add Fields" section, to save scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page to "Update".

    2)
Another suggestion (if not already possible) is to be able to drag a field from "Add fields" into the place on the form that you want it. Rather than, or as well as, the current method: "click", field gets added to the bottom of the form, "drag into place". Probably not able to do this by next release. Of course if it is already possible then my dragging skills must be bad. :)

    3)
Also, would love to see resetting form views in the next release (on a form by form basis), unless it is there and I have missed it :)

    4)
Roles on a form by form basis. Eg,restrict member so they can only view entries from Form 2, but not Form 1. Possibly an addon?

    Love this plugin!

Any of these on the drawing board? :)

  3. Yep, we've discussed a few of these things and you should see them in a future version.

  4. I like the idea of a floating update button and of dragging to where you want something to go. I don't generally have a problem, but I can imagine that with a very long form and a smallish screen (like 1024*768), it would be easy to place things in the wrong place, when dragging from the bottom.

    A couple of additional suggestions:
    1) The ability to inactivate a field, say, by dragging it to a section of the page (like the inactive widgets section), so you do not need to delete a field (then re-add) in order to temporarily remove it.

    2) Being able to change the TYPE of an added field, eg: text to number, or vice-a-versa. Maybe could only be done, if no data has yet to be stored. So if you setup a new field, and setup the css/display of it, then realise it is the wrong type, would save you changing the _3_12 to whatever in the css, etc, hard to explain :)

  6. 1) This can be done now by changing the visibility of a field in the Advanced tab to Admin Only. Then the field will still be present, it just won't be visible or used on the front end and only available in the Admin.

    2) This was a feature we had in the past, however it was removed because it caused confusion. The issue is the type of data being stored. By making it available when no data was stored, and removing it when data existed it caused confusion and additional support requests.

Ok, thanks for the response Carl.

Here are a couple more ideas:
    1) Not so much a feature, but more of an idea/suggestion. Rename the "Edit Forms" page to be just "Forms". Then it will be inline with WP "standards", eg:
    Pages
    New Page
    Posts
    New Post
    Forms
    New Form

    2) This maybe possible on another screen, but couldn't see it. On the edit forms/forms page, be able to view the statistics, (entries, views, conversions) by a selected period. Perhaps From-To date calendars, plus common choices, Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year, All Time etc.

    Keep up the great work.

  8. 1) Good idea, we've actually already considered this and it probably will be changed in a future release.

    2) We do plan on creating a reporting add-on in the future that will allow you to do reporting on forms, entries, etc.

I entered this forum to post two suggestions, and these were exactly stated by #1 and #2 of idealists' first post. They would be really handy.

Any chance of having any of these suggestions in the 1.5 release? In particular 1 and 2.

  11. I do not believe any new features are being added to 1.5. We're working hard to fix any remaining bugs and wrap up other loose ends and get it out.

    Hi there,
any more activity on the floating "Submit Form" button and the drag and drop field items (as per idealists posts)? It just would make working with Gravity Forms even more addictive!!!

  13. @sascha They will not be in the v1.6 release but they are features we plan on adding in the future. They may not make it in until we do an overhaul of the form editor UI which may or may not happen before v2.0.
