Form dropdowns with behind-the-scenes prices

  1. My client wants to build a form where their customers can customise an order of a product. The customisations have different values - so the client wants the form to calculate the total for their order with customisations (using dropdowns, checkboxes and radiobuttons), then email them an order amount with a link to pay a percentage deposit via PayPal.

    Is this doable?

  2. It's doable, but it requires a customization via jQuery that would be pretty advanced. It isn't something the plugin does out of the box. You would have to write this functionality yourself, using primarily jQuery to accomplish it. If you aren't comfortable with jQuery then you probably won't be able to implement it.

We are working on payment fields which will allow for products, options and calculations on a form that will work in tandem with a PayPal add-on we are developing. It is nearing beta status but still under development.

Whooah. This is great news! I'd gladly be a beta tester if you like.

This is exactly what I need. I been interested in purchasing Gravity Forms but need something with payment and calculation options. Will the beta be private or open to all members?

  6. The 1.5 beta will be open to all Gravity Forms users. This will contain the pricing fields with calculations. The PayPal add-on beta, however, will only be available to Developer License holders.

  7. Carl, How would we be notified when the 1.5 beta is ready? I have a Developer License and wonder if we would receive an e-mail or if it is announced on your homepage. Thanks!!

sorry to bump up a old topic. I been away for a few months but this seems to be the only topic I found related to deposits. Has a deposit feature been integrated with the new gravity beta?

  10. @johnny Gravity Forms v1.5 has Pricing Fields that work together to calculate prices based on products and options. It also works with the new PayPal Add-On that allows you to integrate your form with PayPal to create order forms.

They are currently development releases but both of them are available for download on this site right now. Add-Ons require a Developer License to access.
