Form Security

  1. Hi,

We want to use your forms on our website (car dealership) for our credit application. My question is where is the data people enter into the credit app stored (can anyone see it on your end) and is it encrypted. How do we receive it once someone fills out the app? And also, we have to document the security encryption in case we ever get inspected by the OCC, so how would we find documentation as to the level of security in our forms?

    Thanks,
    Brett

When a form is submitted, the data gets stored in tables in the same database as your WordPress installation, and is not encrypted. Gravity Forms doesn't include security options for sensitive data, and you would have to have a specialist on hand in your company to modify Gravity Forms to do that, and make sure data security is handled correctly.
