Form sending data to plugin database

  1. Hi guys,
I am working on a site for a group of homeopaths in the uk. They have the 'store locator plus' plugin on their site which is set up so that end users can locate any practitioner at any clinic where they practice (usually 3-3 different locations). Can I set up gravity forms to service this via the create post and edit post functions? I am happy to buy the developer licence in order to access priority support if that is necessary.

    To summarise my requirement:

    1. I need to create a static page containing a form which will deliver data to the store locator plug-in database.
    2. The input fields of the store locator plugin need to be reiterated on the ' add/edit your locations ' form (that's what I'll call it) and send their data to the correct areas of the database.
    3. When you create an entry via the store locator plug-in,the plug-in automatically creates a post with a custom taxonomy so that the information contained in the store locator entry is searchable from the front of the site. Those posts can be accessed from the left-hand menu under the store pages tab. This automated post creation needs to be maintained in the process we create for the form.
    4. The form may not need any additional security as it will be located within a membership secured area of the site, but it will need to pick up the details of the logged in user in order to propagate any associated entries onto the form.
    4. We need to use some common data (possibly the e-mail address??) to enable the user to access previous entries associated to their account. This is to enable users to edit entries that they had already made. These need to show up on the form as a drop-down or radio button.
    5. The logged in user must only see and be able to adjust entries relating directly to their account.
Full administrator functionality needs to be maintained from the WordPress dashboard and admin needs to maintain the ability to edit and/or delete store locater entries from the UI.

Is this something that Gravity forms Pro can enable for me. If yes, will support stay with me to facilitate a complete solution?
Let me know because, if yes, I will gladly purchase the pro version.
    Many thanks

Hi there, Gravity Forms is one of the best WordPress plugins for collecting data, but when I look at your list of requirements, I see a list of customizations that would have to be made to make it fit what you are trying to do. Gravity Forms, at any license level would require a great deal of custom code to make this all happen, and we don't provide custom code at this level. You would have to hire a developer to do it.

Check out our demo at http://gravityforms.com/demo to get a better idea of what Gravity Forms can and can't do.

  3. Thanks for your quick reply David. I'll look for a php developer then.
