Your forum will not allow me to see any potential answers to my pre-sales questions. This is a bit off-putting...
Can Gravity Forms be used to enter user posts on the front end, so I can match the look and feel of the site? if so, how is this accomplished. I am trying to evaluate if this will work for my client before I convince them to purchase.

The support forum is only accessible to customers. If you aren't a customer you can only access the non-Support Forums such as Pre-Sale Questions, etc. So if you are unable to view a forum post it is because it is in a support forum you only have access to if you are a customer.
Yes, Gravity Forms can be used to create posts from user submitted forms. This is accomplished by using the available Post Fields in the form builder. Only Post Fields create post data. If you want to create a form that creates WordPress Posts then you would create a form using Post Fields.
A form can contain Post fields and non-Post Fields but only the Post Fields will create a WordPress post, the rest of the fields used on that form will be saved with the entry that is created from the form submission.
