  3. If someone translates the plugin and sends us the translation files we would be glad to make it available on the site. We plan on adding a Translations download area, but need users to submit translations to us as we don't do the translations.

  4. As we are still interested in a German translation we looked out for a cheap translation service. At icanlocalize.com the translation would cost about 200 USD. Is there anybody with whom we could share costs?

  6. Hi Dave,

I have used your translation but now there is a new version. I tried to figure out what version are your translation, is it the Version 1.3.13.1 ?
Your files looks all different than the new version.
I was wondering why your file starts out every string with a line :#@ gravityforms
    #@ gravityforms
    #: common.php:130
    msgid "Insert form field"
    msgstr "Formular-Feld einfügen"

The new version 1.4 do not have that line at all?

I work on a Danish translation in a few days I will upload to the forum.
I only work with the files in a text-editor, I simply had to many errors in Poedit.
Now I just use the Poedit only to make a control and to generate the .mo file when I am done.

If the Gravity team read this post; it would be nice with a sticky post for translations. In StudioPress we have one and it is growing all the time. Please make this post (or a new one) Sticky to get some more translators together.
    Thanks:-)

  7. Hi there!

I have done the 1.4 version today and the files work for me:
    http://bit.ly/gravityforms-de

    (Updated download file!!!)

I use different ways: text editor, poedit and the "codestyling localization" plugin for WP to translate. That has to do with some problems in Gravity Forms using different text domains and poedit doesn't catch all localization strings! Only the WP plugin does so I have to manage the .po file in different ways to have as many strings as possible translated! The plugin reads all strings in and so I have a new "pot" file if you will... :-) (virtual)

Some words are still in English but that is not my fault I have translated all words/ strings that I could find/ read in.

    Thanx, Dave from Germany :)

  9. Hi Lindebjerg

Would you like to share your Danish translation?

Posted 14 years ago on Saturday September 18, 2010 | Permalink
  10. @Lindebjerg:
Yes, you are right! Just read in the plugin/ theme again and then edit the new/ updated strings. That works best for me. But in 1.4.2 I found nothing newer than in 1.4 :)

  11. Danish Localization Files for Gravity Forms 1.4 - work by 1.4.2 too! http://bit.ly/bkDntG
Made with the the "codestyling localization" plugin for WP. Seems to work fine.
If you find mistakes, just share your new version here too.

  12. Thanks for the danish translation. I have one problem though. Using the newest version og gravity forms 1.4.3. Nothing happends when I click the Insert Form button.

Works fine without the translation installed.

    Please help.

  13. @Sejler This isn't a translation issue. It's a browser cache issue. Your browser has cached old Javascript and isn't loading the javascript necessary to insert a form. You need to clear your browser cache completely and then restart your browser. It should then work.

  18. @deckerweb Definitely, i'll go ahead and update the 1.5.1 package with this PO file. Is this a 100% translation or is it partial?

Posted 13 years ago on Thursday April 7, 2011 | Permalink
  19. Thank you, Carl!!

    Yes, this a 100% translation.
I use a special plugin for WP which catches/scans all strings. So maintenace is really great with it. It's formal version (German "Sie") so it's perfect for business use (and most other cases). I plan an alternate informal version (German "Du") in the next weeks or so...

    Thank you for your support!
    -Dave :)
