Gravity Forms & overall "robustness" for 40K+ entries

  1. Hey...I'm a developer that is looking for a solution for a large client of mine who has multiple sites that are all build in Wordpress MU. This client sells skis & snowboards and would like to have a way to build a "registration" page for all purchasers of their products.

This page/form will make it possible for the visitor to enter in some various information, sign up for the newsletter (& giveaways) as well as add the serial number of their purchased product. Its anyone's guess as to how many people will actually follow up, visit and "register". Regardless, this information will need to be captured so that it can be processed offline at a later date.

I think a safe bet would be 30,000 to 40,000 unique submissions. Can anyone here chime in to voice an opinion on whether or not Gravity Forms (and the WP DB) could handle this kind of volume reliably?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ross

  2. Gravity Forms entries are stored in their own custom table and not an existing WordPress table. We stress tested Gravity Forms with hundreds of forms with each of those forms having thousands and thousands of entries.

There aren't issues with Gravity Forms itself being able to handle a large volume of entries, however your MySQL server would have to be handle this kind of load.
