How to manually approve

I'm looking and searching for how to do this but cannot find anything

I need the user to be in the Pending status...

Right now the user fills out he form and their account is created automatically.... i need to manually approve all accounts though

but under Users tab in WP theres an Approve Users link there, which is Not in mine...

I do have the user reg add on and set up its data as well...

what am i missing?

In the video he uses a hidden field and selects "Hidden Variable" and inserts "pending"

Thing is I dont see "Insert Variable"

Closes thing is "Insert Merge Tag"

and at this point, the user still receives an email right away when they register through gravity forms reg form and stuff.. :-/

any idea?
