Auth.net validation for mismatch of incorrect billing fields

Does this addon check to see if billing info like state and zip is actually correct? I assumed it did but I just made a test (auth.net acct is in test mode) and it seems to have gone through even with incorrect billing address. Will checkout fail or kick an error if there is a mismatch? Or perhaps the issue was because it was in test mode?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. It depends on the settings in your authoriz.net account. You can configure it to require that information and to check the card info against it.

I'm pretty familiar with the auth.net settings but do not recall this one. Where in auth.net do I find that setting? Or am I misunderstanding it and if I mark the fields as required they get validated? Thanks for the reply Rob.

  4. You should be able to go to: Account - Settings - Payment Form - Form Fields and then mark the matching fields as required.

    Thanks Rob!

I edited the fields and made state required. I entered the wrong state and the transaction went through. Perhaps its the test account I am using? Should I be using a live account or testing with the test account I have to test this?

I actually tested with a live card on a live account and it still went through. State field is required in the account not going through any validation. What am I missing here?

    Thanks again.
