Input Fields with html5 tags for the optimal keyboards on mobile devices

  1. Hey there,

it would be great, if you could add the following html 5 tags to the input fields:

    http://webdesign.about.com/od/html5/qt/html5-form-input-tags.htm

E.g. <input type="tel"> for the telephone number tells the browser on mobile devices to open a specific keyboard for numbers,

    the same for

    <input type="email"> for a keyboard with an @ button.

What do you think about that? :)
That way you could even more optimize gravity forms for mobile devices.

    Best regards,
    Marko

  2. Have you enabled "Output HTML5" on the settings page? Screenshot: http://minus.com/lgQ9202mXXOLH

That should output HTML5 form input tags. If you have specific tags not being output, please share the URL to the form on an installation where you have enabled HTML5 output. Thank you.

  3. This worked for me, except why does the zip code field not go to numeric? form with address field: http://tourkick.com/order/
I think the address street number / street name should be numeric too, but less definitive than the zip code field.

    Thanks.

  4. And what about x-autocompletetype from http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2012/01/making-form-filling-faster-easier-and.html (as suggested by Matt Cutts of Google in the last slide of http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/pubcon-2012-slides/ )?

    Thanks.
