Integrate Gravity Form with Event Espresso

  1. Has anyone integrated Gravity Forms with the Event Espresso WP plugin? Gravity Forms is an amazing plugin but there are features in Event Espresso that I like and wish were in Gravity Forms.

Has anyone figured out how to make it go the other way? Use gravity forms with the paypal option as the registration form for an event created with event calendar pro?

  4. That would be perfect for my site, having the ability to have events submitted by a form.

  5. I agree with @gchinola - rather than integrating with other plugins to enable one specific, narrow type of booking, I would prefer to see Gravity Forms introduce it's own calendar/booking abilities, giving us the building blocks we need to create ANY type of booking site.

Think about it - why commit yourself to integration with someone else's plugin, over which you have zero control, simply because it happens to be, today, an initial leader in a newly emergent niche?

In the fast-moving world of plugins, it will almost certainly be overtaken by better and cheaper competitors but Gravity Form would be committed to waste developer time tracking it and maintaining compatibility, regardless of how irrelevant it becomes over the years.

Gravity Forms already has 90% of the essentials in place, they just need to connect the dots and light the fuse. Anyone interested in seeing that happen should add their voice to the thread discussing it:

    Bookings, Appointments, Reservations and Rentals

  6. If this is possible, then I'd have to agree. It would be better to have a system that is fully integrated within Gravity Forms, providing us with the system & running with it in our own way.

I use Event Calendar Pro, and it is the best one I've tried. However, one of the biggest complaints is that it can take a lot of work to get it to integrate with a theme. This is something that, from experience, would not be a problem if it was to become a Gravity Forms add-on.

It would also be good if it could be linked in with the Paypal add-on, as we could then sell tickets.

  7. Anybody wanting to use Gravity Forms with Event Calendar pro can now do so.

Here is the blog post to show you how:

Doesn't totally work. It is incomplete, they should show you how to get your event venue or organizer to post too. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.
