Integration with Wootheme - Listings

  1. Hi Gravity Forms,

We are creating a Directory using Woothemes - Listings. Wootheme's current Upload form is not fully customizable to our liking and Woo has recommended Gravity Forms to us. Before purchasing, however, we want to ensure that Gravity Forms output information from the upload form within this Woo theme in which inputted information become taxonomies/custom fields that can be directly inputted into posts.

Please see an example of a listing: http://giftedcommunicators.com/directory/communicator/jennifer-rothschild/

Content such as name, location, email, affiliate website, address, phone, etc. are directly inputted from the upload form to a draft of the post, and upon approval, directly inputted into the single listing's PHP file. Would Gravity Forms supply code that could be inputted into the single listing's PHP file so that these fields would automatically update as each post is published?

    Thank you.

  2. If the woo listing is based on a post, Gravity Forms can capture whatever data you need. You can use custom fields to store information in whatever format the Woo Listing theme needs. Gravity Forms will capture all the information and the Woo theme will display it. You just have to make sure that Gravity Forms stores the information in the format Woo is looking for.

There is not modification to the theme's single.php. You just need to know the exact name of the custom field or taxonomy that Woo is looking for, and it will be fine.

  3. I downloaded and bought the plugin “Gravity Forms” and downloaded the add-on Gravity Forms + Custom Post Types.

I put a form together and uploaded it to my website and named it "Add Your Listing" in my menu. There are 3 taxonomies: Categories (Classification), Towns and Counties
I want to use the ”Gravity Form” instead of the original form of the Listing Theme.
The original form when submitted would then automatically populate (I believe that is the term) the Listings (in my case I called it Members) as a draft.
After which I have to approve it before I upload it to my website. http://www.ctproductsandservices.com

The “Gravity Form” looks wonderful on the website, but when someone fills out the form and submits, I do not see the draft in my "Members". I only can see it under Forms/Entries. And have to manually create a new listing (member), which brings me to the taxonomy fields.

I see in my Taxonomy fields a number (I believe a value), while I really would like to see the name of I my taxonomy as the user sees it.
Hopefully someone can help me, please.

  4. @yajanssen - it looks like you need support from the author of the Custom Post Types plugin. We did not create that add-on. Please contact the author of that plugin.

If you need help with Gravity Forms, please begin a new topic in the regular support forums, rather than pre-purchase, and we'll be happy to help you. Thanks.
