Invalid Activation Key when activating an user on single entry screen

  1. I tried to use "Pending Activation: Activate User" on the Info sidebar of the single entry view. It returned an error of "Invalid activation key".

  2. Sounds like you're using the 1.5b1 release of the User Registration add-on? Can you confirm which WordPress version you are using?

  3. I am using Wordpress 3.5. BTW, approving on "Pending Activations" Tab in User Registration works, but just not on the single entry view.

  4. OK, thank you for the additional information. I sent this topic to the attention of the development team. We'll likely hear back from them after the Christmas holiday.

  5. @lifehack, we were not able to recreate this problem. However, I have a newer release of the User Registration add-on if you would like to give that a try. Please email me at chris@rocketgenius.com if you would like me to send it to you.

You can also rule out plugin and theme conflicts by following these troubleshooting steps http://rkt.gs/testing

  6. I just discovered the same problem. I think it relates to wp 3.5. I'm in beta testing on my site and went to retest (it worked previously) and am getting the "invalid activation key" message and unable to create user messages.

    Need some help on this.

    Regards,
    Will

  8. I will send this to the attention of the developer of the User Registration Add-on for their input.

However, have you already tested for theme and plugin conflicts by following these instructions? http://rkt.gs/testing

  9. Thanks Chris. I am so far along on this site and just about to do a hard launch that I am not at all interested in reworking my plugins or themes. I've spent a year building out this 600 page site. This plugin worked ok in the past.

Too bad that this is not a solid add-on at this time. I would really like to know what the developer is doing regarding this issue, as I am not the only one that has had the issue. If there is nothing more happening with the development of this plugin I will end up dumping it.

I notice that it is still not out of beta

    Regards,
    Will Wilson

  13. @Ivan, please contact support here and let them know your situation. I see an expired developer license and a newer personal license:

I'm closing this topic as your request appears to be completely unrelated to the previous issues being discussed here.
