Thanks for your quick response, Carl. I'm just thinking this through and I want to make sure I understand what you're suggesting.
You're saying I would have to create a category for each separate post that I want users to be able to append data to, right?
Then I'd just add the code to my theme to display any items in that category if they exist (which is easy enough and not a bad solution as it would allow multiple people to contribute different sets of data for each post).
The reason I ask is there are going to be about (literally) 900 or 1,000 of these posts for the website I'm developing, each about a specific location that I want users to be able to append data to. So I'm trying to make it as few steps as possible for the interns who are going to be initially setting up each post. I'd rather they not have the ability to edit the theme templates (and this would of course require them to have to create a new theme template for each post and edit it).
