Licensing Question

What happens when the license expires? I read the FAQ, but it doesn't mention if you're allowed to continue using the plugin. Say I purchase the developer's license, install it on 20 client sites. The license expires. I believe the 20 I installed will continue to function. But can I install it on another 20 new client's sites? Or will I be required to renew my license?

  2. An active license grants you to updates for all of our products as we release them (which contain enhancements, bug fixes, WordPress compatibility updates, etc) as well as access to support.

So while you don't have to renew your license, we recommend that if you do not choose to renew your license, that you give your site owner(s) the option for them to purchase their own license(s) so they can choose wether or not to stay up to date and/or not have to depend on you or someone else to get support. Ultimately, a WordPress release can break an old version of Gravity Forms on your site, that's why staying up to date is important.

As with all plugins (paid or free) and with WordPress, you should always be running the most up to date versions, for security reasons if nothing else. Hope this helps!
