Lots of Questions Before I Hit Buy

I have a client who wants to create an order form for an SMS broadcasting service.

The form would include fields where their customer enters the message to be broadcasted, selects which categories of target audience, each with a price, and proceed to Paypal to make a payment.

Broadcasting of the SMS would be done manually from the client's side when the order has been received.

    1. Is there a hook/option to display the SMS message on another page on the site as well, upon submission of order? Something like a classified ads page. The customer gets to display his "ad" on my client's website, as well as have his "ad" broadcasted through SMS.

    2. In the SMS message field, will I be able to limit the number of characters the customer types?

    3. Will I be able to create an order confirmation page/e-mail once payment has been confirmed? This will be sent to the customer after the Paypal payment, to inform him that his order is being processed.

    4. Will my client be able to receive a notification e-mail once an order has been made?

  2. 1. Sounds like the SMS message will just be a small amount of text, so you could create a WordPress Post and then display that Post however you like. So, this is doable with a little template work on your site. Maybe a new classifieds page template that displays multiple ads on one page. If you just want one ad per page, there is no additional work required.

    2. If you use a textarea, there is a javascript character counter, and you can set your limit to 160 characters or whatever your limit is.

    3. You can have both a displayed confirmation, and an email notification will be sent if you choose to configure it that way.

    4. Admin notifications are built in.

Sounds like a really neat use for Gravity Forms and I would be happy to help you implement it by giving suggestions where I can. After you make your purchase, open a new support topic with one issue at a time and we'll help you out. 2, 3, and 4 are all built in, so you won't need more help there. For item #1, you will need to choose how you display the 'ads' in your WordPress theme. That's not really related to Gravity Forms, but we can point you in the right direction.
