Mailchimp addon is not submitting emails to my Mailchimp list

  1. When my Subscribe Now form is filled out and submitted it should be submitting to Mailchimp but it doesn't. I've checked my configuration and it seems to be fine. I only have one Mailchimp feed assigned to a single form.

The data is getting captured and is visible in the form entries, it just isn't getting sent to Mailchimp. I have the Double Opt-in box check and it isn't sending an email to me either.

very puzzled. I also have Mailchimp installed on another site where I am using the same template and form and it works as expected. Does the plug-in depend on certain server requirements possibly?

I'm going to submit a note to the contact form because I've got to put the site in maintenance mode as we haven't officially launched this new design.

I'm having the same problem with one of my sites. Double opt in is checked. The user that registers receives a a standard kind of email with username and password but no confirmation email from MailChimp.

Did you manage to solve this one?

    Thanks
    Richard

Sorry guys. Please ignore my comment above. MailChimp was taking a while to send out the confirmation email (and then to register the new member once the confirmation link had been sent.) All seems to be working as it should.

P.S. The User Registration Add-On and the MailChimp Add-On are a marriage made in heaven. Indeed, on a site I'm developing, I'm running the User Registration Add-On, the MailChimp Add-On and the PayPal Add-On. They are, quite simply, superb. Thank you.

  4. Thanks Richard. Glad it was something simple. The user above's issue was related to an early build of the 1.5 release that was quickly patched but he was still running the earlier version. His MailChimp is now working.

I got the same thing. Then I looked at the' Export to MailChimp if' setting again (in the MailChimp feed page of GF) and noticed that there were two options in the drop-down. (Both looked the same).

I changed it to the other option and everything started working fine. (This is with MailChimp addon 1.3.1 and GF 1.5.rc3.2).

  6. I am having the same problem, they sign up, but then they aren't added to my MailChimp list. They just disappear... {sigh}

I currently have the following installed:

    PHP Version 5.2.15
    MySQL Version 5.1.53
    WordPress Version 3.0.4
    Gravity Forms Version 1.5.RC3.8

Hopefully you can help because I am seriously wasting so much time trying to figure it out.

    Cheers!
    Kelly

  7. Hi Kelly, have you updated your MailChimp version recently? If so, you might try resaving your MailChimp feed. If that doesn't resolve it, try recreating your feed from scratch. If that doesn't resolve it, send us a login to your WP admin at david@rocketgenius.com and we will be happy to take a look.

  8. I have also been having a similar problem. I created the form with a "subscribe to Newsletter" Check box added to the MailChimp Feed (with opt-in conditions set) and it has been over 3 hours and the contacts that I try as test do not add to my MailChimp list. I have the updated Gravity Forms and Add-on. I am not using the double opt-in feature.

  9. Try testing with WordPress debug mode turned on. Your web server could be blocking the outgoing request to MailChimp.

  10. forgive me for my ignorance. how do you turn on "debug"?

  12. Sorry for posting to an old thread, but I've been running into this problem a few times as well:

If I create a form that has a checkbox saying something like "Check here if you want to join our newsletter", use that field as the "export to mailchimp if"... field, everything works great. However, if I go in and change the text to something else, e.g. "Opt-in for the newsletter", then nobody gets signed up for the list. If I go to the mailchimp settings for that particular form, I'll see two options under "export to mailchimp if"... The first one (which is highlighted) is "Check here if..." and the second one is "Opt-in for..." so the old text is actually selected. If I select the new text, save it, and go back, the new text is the only option.

So, it looks like for that field, instead of having a field ID as the identifier for mailchimp, the field text is the identifier. I'd prefer if the ID were the identifier so this wouldn't break if I modified the text. Let me know if there are any plans to change this!
