Mailchimp birthday field

What is the best way to get a birthday from gravity forms to mailchimp? It looks like Mailchimp's "birthday" field is looking for just MM/DD but the gravity forms form only allows mm/dd/yyyy. Do I need to create two separate dropdown fields and then somehow combine them prior to the data feeding to mailchimp? If so, how do I do that?

  2. Your best bet is to use two fields. They can be drop downs or text fields. Then you can combine them with the gform_after_submission or gform_pre_submission hook.

Or, you could use a text field and the javascript input mask to force input in the form MM/DD. The mask you enter would be "99/99". That would allow invalid dates though.

I am also interested in this but don't know exactly how to do what you suggest. Can you provide more detail on this? How about this as a feature request.
